Horicon's Whooping Crane Update by Pam Rotella 6 December 2011 HoriconBirds.com HORICON MARSH, WISCONSIN - Horicon Marsh posted more information to its Facebook page yesterday on its new whooping crane flock: "The 8 whooping cranes that were from Horicon National Wildlife Refuge have finally left southern Wisconsin! They left Dane county on November 29 and have split into at least 3 groups. Two were reported at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in Alabama, three are at the Hiwassee Wildlife Reufge in Tennessee and three are at an unknown location."
